Invisible character inspector User guide

Inspect and remove invisible and special characters.

Instructions

  1. Paste text or load a file.
  2. Inspect invisible spaces and control characters with positions and code points. Enable removal and inspect again if cleanup is wanted.
  3. Review the report, then save character JSON or cleaned TXT.

Removal affects only selected characters such as zero-width spaces, BOM, soft hyphens and word joiners. Line breaks, tabs, emoji joiners and bidi controls are retained.

  • Removal affects only selected characters such as zero-width spaces, BOM, soft hyphens and word joiners. Line breaks, tabs, emoji joiners and bidi controls are retained.
  • Offsets are zero-based UTF-16 positions. Up to 20,000 detected entries are listed; ordinary spelling and sentence structure are not repaired.
  • Files and entered content are processed in this browser. Save results before closing the page.
